Alejandro Faurlin has agreed a new one-year deal at QPR - and is set to sign on the dotted line next Tuesday.
Boss Harry Redknapp made good his promise on keeping the Argentine midfielder after first voicing reservations the 27-year-old would recover from a second cruciate leg injury sustained last November that kept him out for the rest of the season.
However, the manager is only too aware how high the esteem of the club’s longest serving player and will add Faurlin to a roster that already includes defender Clint Hill, who has also agreed to stay an extra term.
Faurlin is already back training in England alongside another long-term injury Matt Phillips, with both expected to meet up with the rest of the squad at the start of pre-season training the week after next.
