Ray Parlour was a guest coach at Hayes & Yeading last Friday in a bid to give amateur players the chance to play at Wembley.

Appearing at the national stadium is every footballer’s dream and Ex-Arsenal and England midfielder Parlour put in a coaching stint on H&Y’s 3G pitch at Beaconsfield Road as part of bringing those dreams to fruition.

It was all part of the Budweiser Open trials, an initiative in association with BT sport for entrants 25 and over, the Hayes and Yeading trial being one of six held across the country.

From 1000s of initial entries, 200 trialists were at each venue with successful candidates going on to take part in a second round at the FA’s training base St George’s Park next month.

The final 32 players will then walk out on to the Wembley pitch the day after the second FA Cup Semi-Final on 14th April, to play a 90 minute match.

The entire process of the Budweiser Open Trials, including last week's event at Beaconsfield Road, will be documented and featured on Budweiser’s YouTube channel, and also aired exclusively on BT Sport during key FA Cup weekends.
