Hugo Rodallega has revealed a world apart from the atmosphere under the previous Fulham regime.

The man who notched Saturday’s winner in a 2-1 victory over Birmingham made it plain coming into work under the temporary control of Kit Symons is chalk and cheese to what went before.

Fulham prayers were answered when they claimed a first league win of the season at St Andrew’s at the ninth attempt.

And part of that is down to the departure of sacked manager Felix Magath that's given way to a happier camp all round, says the Colombian forward.

“Everything has changed inside the dressing room,” he said.

“The guys are happier because they enjoy the training sessions, because before, the last two or three months, we don’t feel really good.

“I don’t want to mention too much, but it’s better now.”

Departed and unmourned: Magath

Rodallega claimed a second of the campaign after the first at Nottingham Forest, but insists he needs to convert more chances coming his way, starting on Wednesday at home to Bolton.

The ex-Wigan man missed two opportunities that were easier than the goal he scored at Birmingham.

“I have to keep going and think about the next game,” he added.

“The goal was harder to take than the other chances missed.

“I tried to shoot between the legs of the keeper as well, and then passed to Ross McCormack, because I wanted him to score, but at the end, I could have had a hat-trick.”
