CHELSEA are missing out on the credit they deserve for their football because of all of he negativity surrounding the club.
That's according to Ryan Bertrand, who says people need to talk more about the football Blues are playing than about matters off the pitch.
Matters involving John Terry, Ashley Cole, Mark Clattenburg and a host of other issues have dominated headlines in recent weeks.
Asked if it was better to be talking about on-pitch matters, Bertrand said: “Yes, I think so. It is good to talk about football because there has been a lot of stuff going on. I think that just comes as part and parcel of being Chelsea.
“I think we've got off to a very good start in the season. I think we haven't got enough credit for the start we've had, because its just all been negative stuff.
“Obviously with the draw (at Swansea) we're a bit disappointed, but we just look forward to the next game.”
