ANDRE Villas Boas insists his he and his Chelsea will not be judged purely on today's game at Manchester United.

The Blues go into the game having only dropped two points all season, at Stoke on the opening day, while United boast a 100 per cent record so far.

But Villas Boas, who took over at Stamford Bridge this summer, believes its far too early to pass judgement on his reign.

He said: “It's only the fifth game of the season, and if any manager being judged five games in to the season there is something wrong with the people running the club.

“We have made a good string start in the Premiership, and we have the confidence from a good start in Europe too during the week.

“This game comes at a good time for us. Both teams feel motivated and strong, and there will be a high expectancy going into the game. I think it will be a high intensity game fraught with emotion.”
