Didier Drogba has announced that Chelsea's Premier League title party against Sunderland will be his last game for the club.

The Ivorian, who returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer has scored seven times this season and his experience and leadership has been invaluable in the Blues' title winning season.

He said: "I want to play for at least one more season and in order to play more football I feel I need to go to another club. All the fans know my love for Chelsea and I hope to be back here in the future in another role."

The Ivorian first joined Chelsea in 2004 and became a fans' favourite after his goals helped the Blues win their first league title in 50 years.

In his first spell at Stamford Bridge, Drogba made 341 appearances, scoring 157 goals.

The final act of his first spell was the most dramatic as, having scored the equaliser against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final, he scored the decisive penalty to win the club's first Champions League title.

He moved to Shanghai Shenua in 2012 before returning to Europe with Galatasaray soon after.

Jose Mourinho brought him back to west London in 2014 and Drogba has played second fiddle to Diego Costa as Chelsea returned to the Premier League summit.
