After a decent run of results Wealdstone FC have moved within just three points of rivals Harrow Borough - piling extra pressure on the duo's derby match on Easter Monday.
Three wins out of four have pushed Wealdstone into 13th spot, four points adrift of the relegation zone and just eight from the final play off place.
And with two matches each over the Easter period, this weekend could prove crucial to both sides.
Boro manager Dave Howell admits fans and those associated with the club will have earmarked Monday's derby as a must win fixture but he is taking one game at a time.
He said: "This weekend is a crucial period for us and could very well determine the direction of our season.
"I know people will pinpoint the derby as the important game but our tie against Hornchurch on Saturday is the biggest of our season so far.
The last time the pair met, on Boxing Day, Wealdstone emphatically brushed Boro aside 5-1 at Earlsmead.
But Stones manager Gordon Bartlett knows that result will count for nothing.
He said: "I think the result last time out was a bit unfair on them and we know that anything can happen in football.
"I always said this was going to be an incredibly tight league and at the moment everyone in this division except maybe top and bottom have something to fight for."
If Wealdstone win comfortably away to 10th placed Margate on Saturday and Harrow Borough lose at home to Hornchurch, the Stones could move ahead of their rivals before the derby kicks off.
