He admits he's more than happy at Brentford , but Maxime Colin has not ruled out a move away from the Bees this summer.

The French full back has been linked with a possible move back to his native country this summer, and with his first child due in July, could be open to returning across the Channel.

While Bees fans would be sorry to see him go, they would not begrudge a player who has been a model of consistency since signing two years ago leaving.

Colin said: “I feel really good and I really enjoy being in England, in the Championship. It's a really good club and it's really easy to be a player for Brentford – they're like a family.

“Will I be here next year? I don't know yet. At the moment I still have two years of contract with Brentford so I'm still here and think I will be here for pre-season.

“Then, we never know what will happen, but I am happy here. At the moment it's quiet, but everyone needs to be happy.

“The due date is July 13 so it will be a big summer, we have to prepare everything and be ready, so it will be a big decision. But like I said, I like it in England and I still have two years.”

The speculation over Colin's future has intensified by the Bees being linked with Danish international right back Henrik Dalsgaard, who is believed to be close to joining from Belgian club Zulte Waregam.

That would leave the newcomer to battle it out with Josh Clarke for the shirt, should Colin leave, but the Frenchman believes youngster Clarke will not be an easy player to keep out of the side.

He added: “Josh is doing really well, it's good for him to show what he can do. We played a few games together too and he's really impressed me. If you want to be at the top of the league, you need competition, and he is doing really well.”
