Midfield Darren Gardiner chalked up his 200th appearance for Rayners Lane in Saturday's 4-2 Hellenic League Division 1 East defeat at Wokingham and Emmbrook.
Playing only their second league game since Christmas, the Lane took a shock lead against the high-flyers when Neil Fyfield pounced on a poor back-pass after 13 minutes.
However, the hosts responded six minutes later when a lightening-quick counter attack caught the Lane defence square and Blond tucked away the equaliser.
A poor pass by Lane's Mark Middleton then allowed Whiting to round Dominic Cassells to give Wokingham a 2-1 half time lead.
The visitors continued to ask questions of their second-placed opponents after the break and their pressure was rewarded five minutes in when Carlos Cambeiro won and converted a penalty.
However, with several players lacking match fitness, the Lane's resistance began to wane and Blond restored his team's lead just three minutes later.
Wokingham made the game safe on the hour mark when Whiting poked home at the far post.
