Brentford will be missing a host of players for the visit of Bristol City, Dean Smith has confirmed.

Alan Judge has joined the Bees' casualty list after his horrific broken leg that he suffered last Saturday at Ipswich, while Leandro Rodriguez returned to Everton after a hamstring injury.

And the Brentford head coach has provided an update on all the players who missed the 3-1 win at Portman Road.

Alan Judge (broken leg)

A detailed update on Alan Judge from Dean Smith can be found here.

Lewis Macleod (knee)

Dean Smith: "Lewis is back on the pitches. He was striking some balls and I'm hoping he'll be training by the end of next week."

Andreas Bjelland (anterior cruciate ligament)

DS: "He's still non-contact but he's been involved in small-sided games as a floater. He's getting closer and closer. I'm certain he'll be into full-contact before the end of the season."

Marco Djuricin (ill)

Marco Djuricin

DS: "He is fully fit after his bout of illness."

Josh McEachran (broken foot)

DS: "He's been in today (Thursday) to have his stitches out. He's still got his boot on which he'll have for a while. He'll be cancelling his holidays because he'll have to be in here.

"He'll have a couple of weeks somewhere but he knows he's got to come in and do his rehabilitation work so he becomes the player we signed.

"We'll have to wait and see how it goes. I'm not a medical expert with timings and that. The human body is different. We'll wait and see (if he's fit for the start of next season)."

Philipp Hofmann (back)

DS: "He's back on the pitches. Hopefully he'll be back training next week."

John Swift (Achilles)

John Swift

DS: "He still hasn't had the last couple of stitches out. It was a deep wound to his Achilles and Chelsea have decided the last couple of stitches needed to stay in a bit longer.

"The soonest we can hope for is MK Dons but he won't have done any work since the injury."

Leandro Rodriguez (hamstring)

DS: "Leandro came in when we needed something different up front. He played against Blackburn and then had the hamstring injury.

"Unfortunately he's not recovered to be ready to play on Saturday or Tuesday. We had to make the decision. We're thankful for Everton for lending us Leandro as he helped the other forwards get the bit between their teeth.

"We brought him in as an emergency loan as Philipp Hofmann and Marco Djuricin were out. They're back now and add to our numbers."

Sergi Canos (leg)

DS: "He just had a dead leg. He is fine. He just had a whack."

Nico Yennaris (ill)

Nico Yennaris

DS: "He's fine. He trained all week. He was disappointed to miss out at Ipswich as he had scored two in two."
