Fulham's Craven Cottage could be set to host one of Boxing's biggest British fights.

Chris Eubank Jnr and Hammersmith's George Groves could be set to face off early next year, with Fulham's stadium being tipped as the likely destination for the fight.

The pair are on a collision course as part of the World Boxing Super Series, with the winner of Groves' WBA world title defence Jamie Cox going on to face Eubank in the semi finals.

The scene is set

The next round is set to take place at Wembley Arena on Saturday, but it's thought that a football stadium could be a suitable setting for the next round.

Groves is a lifelong Chelsea fan and is thought to be keen on the fight taking place at Stamford Bridge, while Arsenal's Emirates Stadium and Brighton's Amex Stadium are also in the running.

Promoter Kalle Sauerland, one of the driving forces behind the Super Series, told the Evening Standard : “The tournament dictates the dates so it has to be January or February, which also happens to be a very busy time for venues so you have to be creative with other options.

“We want as many people as possible to be able to see such a great event and that might mean taking it outdoors.

"We want to talk to four or five clubs but at the moment Fulham looks most realistic. I think that's a fight you could put in a lot of places."
