Richard Lee reckons Brentford's clear the air talks in the dressing room at Stevenage last Saturday will prove to be the turning point of the season.

Manager Uwe Rosler kept his troops behind for an hour and a half after the 2-1 defeat at the Lamex Stadium to allow everyone a say on where things were going wrong.

And keeper Lee, who was an unused sub on the day, believes things can only get better now now there is nothing bottled up.

He said: “We all came out feeling a bit better about things. Obviously what was said stays in the dressing room, but we all had a chance to say what we felt and get everything out in the open. It gives us a platform to move on, and I think come the end of the season we will look back on it and see it as a turning point.

“Once we started talking we got a lot of positives out. It was a bit of an open forum, which was needed. Players, like fans, have different ideas, and we felt we could say what we were feeling.

“I've had a few before, but staying behind that long is a new one on me. At Watford, Adie Boothroyd once had us in at 6am the morning after losing a game to watch it all back again. A few players fell asleep, which didn't go down too well!”
