Antonio Conte has encouraged both himself and his Chelsea FC players to channel their passion in the right way when they take on Tottenham in tomorrow’s London derby.

The Italian will take on Chelsea’s London rivals for the first-time tomorrow evening as the Blues look to extend their winning run to seven games.

Last season’s match at Stamford Bridge saw Tottenham’s title challenge come to an end with a 2-2 draw ensuring the Premier League title went to Leicester City.

However, that match is remembered as much for the confrontation and frustration of the players as it is for the football with both teams charged with failing to control their players.

Conte has encouraged his players to play with passion, but to channel it in the correct manner as they aim to become the first team to defeat Tottenham in the league this season.

Conte has no plans to curb his outgoing persona in the technical area

He said: “It’s important to think of the game, play good football and win.

"The passion is right, but in the right way and not in a bad way.

"I think tomorrow we can see a good game with two good teams.”

However, the former Italy boss suggested he has no plans to curb his outgoing persona in the technical area, but will ensure he respects his opponent.

“Our behaviour must be perfect and to think only about the game," he said

"It’s logical that every manager has different attitude of behaviour during the game but it is important to do it in the right way and respect my players, their players, the manager, our fans and their fans.”

Chelsea will be looking to extend an unbeaten home run over Saturday’s opponents that has lasted for 26 years since Tottenham last won at Stamford Bridge in 1990.
