Chelsea will have to watch out for a couple of new kids on the block when they face Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Blues had their unbeaten record ended by the Magpies at St James' Park back in December.

Spanish striker Ayoze Perez was part of then-manager Alan Pardew's team that triumphed that day and according to Lee Ryder from the Newcastle Chronicle, the 21-year-old will need to be kept an eye on.

Ryder said: "The kid from Tenerife has set the world alight a little bit on Tyneside and is proving to be a bit of a sensation.

"He's got quick feet and an eye for goal with five on the board so far.

"There's even been shades of Peter Beardsley in his play, so Premier League defences beware."

Another youngster who has been getting a run of matches, albeit mostly from the bench, is 17-year-old striker Adam Armstrong.

And although he has yet to find the net, Ryder says he is growing into life at United.

He added: "The number 10 has been entrusted with a couple of starts in recent weeks and could get a slice of the action at Stamford Bridge."

Summer signing, Dutchman Daryl Janmaat, is the third player wearing the famous black and white stripes that Blues fans should be looking out.

Ryder added: "Janmaat just gets on with the job. He's not your bog standard right-back though.

"He loves to get forward and threatens the goal at least once or twice a game - forcing David De Gea to produce a world class save at Old Trafford recently."
