JON Mikel Obi is the first Chelsea player to break ranks over this weekend's big head to head between John Terry and Wayne Bridge.

Saturday's Premier League game between the Blues and Manchester City will plunge the two former best friends together for the first time since revelations about Terry's alleged relationship with Bridge's former partner.

Mikel, who played in the same team as both at Stamford Bridge , said: “I think they have been best friends for a long time, and it's unfortunate something like this happened.

“But they will go into the game as professionals, and just play the game. And whatever happens happens.”

Neither Terry nor Bridge has spoken openly about the claims, but the game between the Premier Leagues two most talked-about sides will be under even greater scrutiny than usual.
