Chelsea striker Loic Remy says he is ready to tell boss Jose Mourinho the secrets of his former side, Newcastle United, as the two teams go head to head tomorrow.

The French forward, who scored 14 goals in 24 Premier League starts for the Magpies, spent last season on loan at St James’ Park from QPR.

And Remy says he is ready to act as an informant on his old club in order to help the Blues get the three points they desperately need after a poor run of form.

“Obviously it was my last team,” said Remy. “So for me it is always an exciting game. If the manager picks me, then all the better. If not – I’ll sit on the bench.

“But I want to play every game, especially this kind of game because it is my last team.”

Newcastle beat Chelsea 2-1 at St James’ Park back in December, and Remy who watched the whole game from the bench says he knows what went wrong.

“The manager can ask me some questions, some details,” he said.

“For the moment, I think the manager has every support to know the opponent, with the videos and everything.

“So I think he knows. But in case he needs it, he knows that he can come to me no problem.

“The secret of Newcastle? It is a strong team. They play well, especially on the counter attack.

“They killed us in the game in Newcastle because their counter attack was amazing – so we have to be careful about that.

“Apart from that, we have to play with our qualities.”
