Eden Hazard has revealed the ultimatum boss Jose Mourinho gave his team prior to last night’s League Cup semi final with Liverpool.

The Chelsea boss told his players that if they really wanted to win trophies now was the time to do it having crashed out of the FA Cup against Bradford City three days earlier.

Hazard said Mourinho lifted the team to produce enough to make Wembley and a date with either Tottenham or Sheffield United.

“Yes, it's always difficult against Liverpool, but the objective was to win and to be in the final,” said the Belgian.

“If you are not motivated for a semi-final, we are not professional. When we can reach a final, we have to be ready and give everything.

“If you want to win trophies, you must win this game'. He had a lot of solutions and we did very well.

“This was a big fight - a big fight with two big teams. Before the game it was 50-50. We scored away from home so maybe it was 51-49 in our favour, but it was difficult. We had to win and we did.”
