CHELSEA have been rocked by a training ground injury blow to Peter Cech that could sideline him for a month.

The Chelsea number one is likely to miss the start of the 2010/11 season after tearing his right calf in training on Tuesday.

Chelsea start the defence of their Premier League crown on August 14 at home to West Brom and it is unlikely that Cech will be between the sticks after his injury, which is similar to the one he suffered in February.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti now faces the goalkeeping dilemma of either replacing him with the experience of Henrique Hilario or turning to Ross Turnbull, who is untried in the top-flight since joining from Middlesbrough on a free last year.
