Chelsea are travelling farther on their post/pre-season tours than any other Premier League club.

With games as far away as Thailand, Australia and the United States of America, Jose Mourinho's side are set to rack up around 25,053 air miles this summer.

Part of the Blues' tour that covers the time between the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons (hereby simply referred to as the pre-season tour) has already finished with 1-0 victories over Thailand All-Stars and Sydney FC.

Next up is the International Champions Cup in the USA with games lined up against New York Red Bulls in New Jersey, Paris St-Germain in North Carolina and Barcelona in Maryland.

Chelsea then return to London for the Community Shield and another friendly against Fiorentina on August 5, just three days before the start of the Premier League campaign.

Tottenham have the next largest cumulative distance at 24,788 miles.

The north London club began their pre-season tour at the end of May in Malaysia before heading off to Sydney, Australia.

Will Chelsea win the league next season?

Like Chelsea, Spurs will also be heading to the USA, but will end their tour in Germany before heading back home.

Also like Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino's side are leaving just three days between their last friendly and the start of the Premier League campaign.

Manchester City have the next longest distance at 24,067 miles, with the Premier League runners-up now bound for Australia's iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground after having kicked things off in Toronto.

Liverpool are set to rack up 21,788 air miles, with games lined up in Bangkok, Brisbane, Adelaide, Kuala Lumpur and Helsinki.

Last pre-season saw Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal complain about the burden the large tour placed on his players.

It's no surprise then that his side have a shorter tour this season with a total distance of 10,977 miles as opposed to the 13,478 miles covered 12 months ago.

United will be touring the USA with games in Washington state, California and Illinois.

The distances were calculated by taking the distance between each opponent's grounds in the order in which the games are played and do not include any travelling that teams may do between the matches.

The distance from the home ground and the first match and a flight back to the home ground after the last match were also included.

The distances covered were calculated using online mapping tool tripline.net
