Premier League champions Chelsea have a staggering 33 players out on loan.

Those deemed surplus to requirements - or too junior - at Stamford Bridge have been shipped off around Europe.

Whether they were big money signings like Juan Cuadrado or academy graduates such as Jordan Houghton, this is the Blues squad you rarely see.

Here, our pals at Mirror Football take a look at where each of the loanees will be spending the season.

1. Islam Feruz - 19 - Hibernian

Having come from Celtic, Feruz will have a good knowledge of Scottish football. Now at Hibs, he's looking to prove to Chelsea why he deserves a chance. At 19, he's still young and has a couple of years to still show his potential.

2. Michael Hector - 23 - Reading

One of the surprise signings on deadline day. He arrived for £4million, not a huge fee, but he has put in some huge performances during his time at Reading, including a superb game against Arsenal in the FA Cup. He’s a tenacious centre-half who can play out from the back.

3. Jordan Houghton - 19 - Gillingham

The defensive midfielder is looking to impress in the Football League now after his loan move. He’s also a capable defender, and is looking to win a regular place in the team.

4. Victor Moses - 24 - West Ham

Signed from Wigan on the back of a fantastic season for the speedy winger despite the club getting relegated. He joined in the same summer as Cesar Azpilicueta, Marko Marin, and Eden Hazard. He has, however, struggled to prove himself at the Bridge.

5. Tomas Kalas - 22 - Middlesbrough

He’ll be looking to follow in the footsteps of Pat Bamford with this loan move. The young centre-back was part of the first XI that won at Anfield and arguably stole the title from Liverpool’s grasp.

6. Nathan Ake - 20 - Watford

Ake came through the Chelsea academy and has played a handful of games with the first team. The young versatile player can operate at centre-back as well and holding midfield, and is now at newly promoted Watford looking for more Premier League experience.

7. Marco van Ginkel - 22 - Stoke

‘The next Frank Lampard’ could be turning into the next Josh McEachran. He suffered a serious injury early on in his career that kept him out of the season. A major blow for a young player who was getting game time under Mourinho. He’s since been rather forgotten about, but big sides like AC Milan and the ever-upgrading Stoke City are still giving him chances to impress.

8. Lucas Piazon - 21 - Reading

So much was expected of Piazon, but it seems his opportunities are running out. He’s made few appearances, and had many loan spells. He’s skillful and creative on the ball. At 21, anything can happen, but it’s looking tricky at Chelsea for the boy who was once compared to Kaka.

9. Christian Atsu - 23 - Bournemouth

Atsu arrived for a small fee from Porto in January 2013. The winger is now at Bournemouth but has spent time on loan at Vitesse and Everton too. He’s represented Ghana but needs to prove himself in the Premier League if he is to earn a place in Mourinho’s squad next season.

10. Alex Davey - 20 - Peterborough

The 20 year old had spent his whole life at Chelsea before loans to Scunthorpe and now Peterborough. The 6ft 3in defender will be looking to prove himself in a tough league and show he’s got what it takes to mix it up with the big boys of English football.

11. Patrick Bamford - 21 - Crystal Palace

Patrick Bamford made a name for himself in the 2014/15 season with Middlesborough. The young striker is now on loan at Crystal Palace after his impressive season, and like Chalobah and Ake, is looking to prove that he can take that step up to a higher level. At 21 years old, his time is arguably running out at Chelsea.

12. Isaiah Brown - 18 - Vitesse

One of the better known of Chelsea’s youngsters, simply because he was in such high demand when at West Brom. The forward/winger is now looking to get regular football for the season, but at 18 he’s got plenty of time, and more importantly, talent, to prove himself at the club.

13. Nathan Allan - 19 - Vitesse

When signed he was dubbed ‘the next Oscar’. At 18 Oscar was scoring wonder goals against Juventus, and at 19 Nathan is on loan at Vitesse. Perhaps too early to judge, but the attacking midfielder will be hoping to get his opportunities to impress sooner rather than later.

14. Dominic Solanke - 17 - Vitesse

At 17, it would be extremely harsh to judge his senior career possibilities now. The important thing for the young striker is that he’s been a regular for an academy team full of much older players at times, and he’s been scoring goal after goal, making him a fan favourite already. If he can replicate that kind of form at Vitesse, he’ll make it very difficult for Mourinho not to play him.

15. Danilo Pantic - 18 - Vitesse

The young midfielder signed in 2015 and was immediately loaned out. He is representing the Serbia Under-21s and will look to impress at Vitesse along with his fellow Chelsea loanees.

16. Lewis Baker - 20 - Vitesse

Lewis Baker is a product of the ever-praised Chelsea academy, yet at 20 years old he hasn’t broken into the first team squad. The midfielder, who’s now doing his third loan spell of 2015, was spoken highly of by Jose Mourinho, who said he’d have failed his job if Baker didn’t make it at the top level. It is yet to be seen if he will get his chance in a Chelsea shirt.

17. Todd Kane - 21 - NEC Nijmegen

The 21 year old right-back is enjoying his first spell out on loan abroad, having spent three years playing in the Football League. He played regularly for Blackburn, but has struggled to prove himself elsewhere.

18. Ulises Davila - 24 - Vitoria Setubal

At 24 years old, there’s almost no opportunity of a Chelsea career now. The small attacking midfielder has had some successful loan spells with clubs such as Cordoba and Sabadell but he’s not managed yet to find a regular club.

Ulises Davila

19. Jeremie Boga - 18 - Rennes

Another attacking talent, though at 18 he’s much younger than a lot of players Chelsea have out on loan right now. He’s another product of the academy, and plays out on the left or behind the striker. To get Ligue 1 experience at 18 will undoubtedly be invaluable for him.

20. Mario Pasalic - 20 - Monaco

The versatile midfielder has potentially the biggest opportunity of all the young loanees. Playing at the highest level of French football with a top club, he’ll be looking to gain a winning experience and mentality that you require to succeed at Chelsea. He’s tall and strong and has the physical ability to cope at the highest levels.

21. Andreas Christensen - 19 - Borussia Monchengladbach

The youngster has already represented Denmark at senior level, and plays at centre back, right back, and holding midfield. The 6ft 2in defender comes from the home club of Daniel Agger, and will certainly be looking to follow in the same footsteps.

22. Nathaniel Chalobah - 20 - Napoli

Another player with the ability of operating in defence as well as midfield. He is physical and fast, and currently represents England at Under-21 level. Having helped Watford to get to the play-off final and Reading to the FA Cup semi-final, he is now at Napoli hoping to prove he has what it takes at an even higher level that what he’s proven to date.

23. Juan Cuadrado - 27 - Juventus

The Colombian international promised much when he arrived for big money from Fiorentina in January. But after only 15 appearances the 27-year-old was shipped out to Serie A once more where he will hope for far more first team opportunities.

24. Stipe Perica - 20 - Udinese

Twenty-three years old, 6ft 3in, and playing at Udinese. The Croatian is yet to represent his country, though he’ll get some worthwhile experience against some tough, well drilled Italian defences in Serie A.

25. Mohamed Salah - 23 - Roma

After impressive performances for Basel against Chelsea in the 2013/14 Champions League groups, he signed for them in January. Blessed with fantastic pace and dribbling ability, he has struggled to impress Mourinho. Despite the setback, he went on to have a very successful loan spell at Fiorentina and is now at Roma looking to build on that. Whether he’ll ever get a chance again at Chelsea is yet to be seen, but you can’t help but wonder if maybe he’s better off away from the Bridge.

26. Wallace - 21 - Carpi

The right-sided Brazilian arrived at Chelsea for a fee of £4m from Fluminense and has spent time on loan at Inter Milan. So far the young defender has had the experience of some of the worlds biggest clubs in their respected leagues. He has, however, failed to grasp the opportunity. He is now at Carpi hoping to revive his career.

27. Cristian Cuevas - 20 - Sint-Truidense

Yet to appear for Chelsea, the left sided Chilean is very versatile and contributes up and down the pitch. This is his fourth loan spell, and potentially his final one unless he finds a way to impress.

28. Joao Rodriguez - 19 - Sint-Truidense

The 19 year old joined Chelsea in 2013. The small, quick forward is now looking to gain more game time. If and when he returns, however, he won’t be the only loanee from Chelsea looking to impress in that position.

29. Bekanty Angban - 18 - Sint-Truidense

Angban is yet to make an appearance in Chelsea’s first team, but at 18 he’s still very young. He’s a creative midfielder who has represented the Ivory Coast at Under-20 level, scoring in the 2015 Under-20s tournament.

30. Kenneth Omeruo - 21 - Kasimpasa

The 21 year old defender is now on his third loan spell away from the bridge since joining from Standard Liege. The tall, strong centre-back regularly represents Nigeria, but has struggled to come close to an appearance for his parent club.

31. Marko Marin - 26 - Trabzonspor

Marin is a skilful midfielder with the ability to create as well as take people on. He struggled, however, to break into Roberto Di Matteo’s side, but did earn more playing time with Roberto enitez. Still not sold on, but it doesn’t look like he’ll ever have a Chelsea career.

32. Matej Delac - 23 - Sarajevo

At 23, goalkeeper Delac still has time to prove himself in the Chelsea set up. The exceptionally tall goalkeeper has represented the Croatia Under-21 at national level.

33. Cristian Manea - 18 - Mouscron-Peruwelz

The 18 year old Romanian right-back has already made an appearance for his country. He didn’t join Chelsea until this year, but he’ll be looking to continue his rapid rise.
