Chelsea legend Petr Cech has completed a move to Arsenal after 11 years at Stamford Bridge.

The 33-year-old played just shy of 500 times for the reigning Premier League champions and made himself a hero by saving a penalty in the 2011 Champions League final shootout with Bayern Munich.

Cech is a four-time Premier League winner, four-time FA Cup winner, three-line League Cup winner and is one of few goalkeepers to win the Premier League player of the month award.

He said: “I’m really excited about joining Arsenal and can't wait to join up for pre-seasonh.

“I have the same commitment to football, the same motivation and the same hunger for success as I had at the beginning of my career, and I love the challenges brought by the top quality players you face while playing in the Premier League.

"When Arsene Wenger spoke to me about his ambitions for this club, and how he saw me as part of this team, the decision was clear.”

Cech could make his Gunners debut against his former club when Arsenal play Chelsea in the Community Shield at the start of next month.
