Today marks 15 years since Frank Lampard signed for Chelsea.

Lampard moved across London to join the Blues in an £11million deal from West Ham United.

He would go on to make 648 appearances for Chelsea, winning 11 major trophies and became the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 211 strikes to his name.

"This club has become part of my life," Lampard said after announcing he would be leaving his beloved Chelsea in the summer of 2014.

"When I arrived at this fantastic club 13 years ago, I would never have believed that I would be fortunate enough to play so many games and enjoy sharing in so much success.

"The club will move forward and, as a Chelsea man, I have no doubt that, with the quality of the players that are there, they will continue with the success that we have all enjoyed over the past seasons."

Now playing out the twilight years of his career in the MLS with New York City FC, Lampard's name is still sung regularly at Stamford Bridge as he retains hero status with the fans.

He still owns a property a stone's throw from the Bridge in The Boltons, allowing him to drop into Chelsea games when he hops back over the pond.
