Chelsea are still not ready to win the Premier League, says Jose Mourinho after his side relinquished a one-goal lead at The Hawthorns.

Blues had led through a Branislav Ivanovic first-half strike, but suffered a late backlash from hosts West Brom.

Victor Anichebe's 88th minute equaliser saw Chelsea remain top, for now, but drop two vital points in the title race.

Mourinho said: “My thoughts are for 60 minutes – only one team, and that team couldn't kill the game. Especially in the first 15 minutes of the second half.

“For 10 minutes the game was poor, and for the last 20 minutes, only one team – and that team fought a lot to get the goal and the point.

“In the end, I think they deserved it, because of their effort.”

Asked if this result confirmed his earlier stated belief that Chelsea were not yet ready to win the league, Mourinho said: “Yes. A ready team, a complete team, kills this game. Two-zero, goodbye. We didn't.”
