Chelsea moved up to fourth in the Premier League yesterday with a convincing 4-0 win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

The tone of the afternoon was set early – with Pedro putting the hosts in front after just 30 seconds.

Goals from Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante followed as Chelsea breezed comfortably past Jose Mourinho's side on his return to the Bridge.

After the game, Antonio Conte played down an apparent spat between the two managers after the current Blues boss encouraged the crowd to sing during the second half.

We'll have all the reaction to that game throughout today and, of course, bring you updates on any other breaking Chelsea news as it happens.

As ever, we want you to get involved too – so tweet us at @GetWestChelsea.

But come on, that’s brilliant.

Sending two United players to the shops in the space of two seconds. Give that man a medal!

Five to watch

As we mentioned before, Chelsea’s U23 side are back in action tonight against Derby County.

Ahead of the game, we’ve had a look at five players that might, one day, grace the pitch at Stamford Bridge.

Let’s hope these lads continue to perform!

Have a read of that story here.

Abraham starting to earn respect

Tammy Abraham has had a lightning start to his loan spell at Bristol City - but is on a three-game dry streak at the minute.

However, speaking to the Bristol Post, manager Lee Johnson reckons the young Chelsea striker will be able to bounce back and keep banging them in for his side.

Always nice to see a lad on loan doing well.

“I think his form will go up and down like any young player,” said Johnson.

“The last couple of games he has found it difficult. He was ill at Cardiff and at QPR he was probably coming off the back of that. And then Saturday it was a difficult game for him.

“Defenders are starting to respect him. They’re being more physical with him and locking him out, but that should allow for more space for other players.”

Team of the week

So, Garth Crook’s team of the week is out.

It’s fair to say that, most weeks, there’s a rather left-field suggestion in there.

This time, Garth has included three Chelsea players in his side - which is completely reasonable after a brilliant performance.

So, who’s in there?

It’s N’Golo Kante, Cesar Azpilicueta and - rather oddly - David Luiz.

Now, I’m not saying Luiz was bad, but he was lucky not to get sent off and there were a lot of better performers in Blues shirts yesterday.

Gallagher: Luiz should have been sent off

Ex-referee Dermot Gallagher has been speaking about a couple of decisions in yesterdays match - you can probably guess which ones.

First up we have that man David Luiz.

Gallagher, speaking to Sky Sports, thinks that his studs-up challenge on Fellaini should have warranted a red card - which is fair enough:

If the referee sees the angle we have seen, he would definitely show a red card because he has shown six studs, caught him high on the knee and the ball has gone.

I thought it was a red card. If you go in that high with studs showing, you run that risk.

However, it’s his view on Pedro’s yellow card which might annoy Blues a little more.

The winger obviously was very happy that he’d scored and celebrated with the fans, which is apparently a bookable offence these days.

You have this mandate that if you enter the crowd, the referees are now duty bound to issue a yellow because of the danger of people coming forward. They don’t want to do it but they have to do it. It’s the worst start for a referee, a player booked after one minute.

You could just get rid of that ridiculous rule then? Please?

Borussia want to extend Christensen stay

Borussia Monchengladbach are hopeful of extending the stay of Chelsea loanee Andreas Christensen.

The 20-year-old is in the middle of his second season on loan with the Bundesliga side - who want to keep hold of him, but aren’t sure they will be able to yet.

“It will be hard work,” Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl told Sky Deutschland.

“I have hope it can be done, I don’t know whether we’ll buy him. Probably not.”

Chelsea's true colours

Nemanja Matic believes that yesterday showed off the qualities of the real Chelsea.

The critics towards Antonio Conte have effectively been silenced after the comfortable 4-0 win made it nine points from nine for the Blues yesterday.

Matic said: “At the moment we are playing good. We have won the last three games, but it’s very important to continue like this.

“This was the real Chelsea. It is not easy to win 4-0 against a strong team like Manchester United. I’m very happy to win a big game.”

Pedro: Chelsea can fight for the title

A big win over a side like Manchester United is fantastic for belief.

That’s obviously the case for Pedro, at least, who believes that Chelsea are in a prime position to challenge for the title next season.

He also spoke about the confidence Antonio Conte has shown in him in an interview with Chelsea TV.

“It’s the way to show we can fight for the title”

“For me it’s perfect that Conte is confident with me.

“The work is perfect. The same work continues.”

Romagnoli staying put? - rumour

We do have a couple of Chelsea-related transfer rumours flying around this morning too - not least concerning Alessio Romagnoli.

The AC Milan defender is one that reportedly interests Antonio Conte - with the Blues said to have made a £35million bid in the summer.

However, speaking to Italian broadcaster Mediaset Premium the 21-year-old had this to say:

“I am happy at Milan and in Italy, so I hope to remain here.”

Well, that’s a bit of a blow.
