Jose Mourinho was on the verge of losing his unbeaten home record as Chelsea manager – but reckoned it never crossed his mind.

The Blues boss was in charge of his 100 game at Stamford Bridge, but was more worried about the performance of referee Andre Marriner before his team rescued a point in a pulsating 2-2 draw with West Brom.

The Special One reckoned Eden Hazard’s last-minute penalty was just that despite the vehement protests by a posse of Baggies that continued long after the final whistle.

Mourinho was also less than pleased with Albion’s Stéphane Sessegnon’s goal that saw the away team ahead on 68 minutes.

The manager said: “I didn't think about it (the unbeaten record) really. If you ask me if I'm happy because I didn't lose, no, I'm not happy. I wanted to win the game, so for me it’s not a big deal.
“Yes I’m sure it was a penalty (for Chelsea), and I saw it from different angles after.

“It’s hard to accept a penalty in the last minute, but it was no doubt and no doubt it was a free-kick against West Brom when they scored a second goal.

“So if anybody has a right to be upset with the referee’s work that has to be Chelsea.”
