ROBERTO Di Matteo says Chelsea head into their Champions League with Napoli clash full of confidence despite facing an uphill task to progress in the competition.

The Blues boss claims that two consecutive wins under his leadership has given his players the confidence boost they needed to overturn the 3-1 first-leg defeat they suffered in Naples.

He said: "We are excited about the game tomorrow night. We have a big job on our hands but everybody has trained and is available so we are confident.

“We’ve got objectives and want to finish the season strongly. The more you win the more your confidence can grow and [coming on the back of two wins] that is good for the boys tomorrow.”

While Di Matteo is correct in that Chelsea have no fresh injury worries going into the tie, the Stamford Bridge club will have to do without Raul Meireles who misses the game through suspension.

The Portuguese midfielder has reached the yellow card limit and is likely to be replaced by Michael Essien , however Di Matteo is not worried by his absence and has urged his Blues to put on a show for the fans.

He added: “I think we will need a great performance and a little bit of luck as well. In a cup competition you need a bit of luck.

"Personally it would be a very proud moment for me but we just want to turn this around for the club and the supporters.”
