Jose Mourinho admits he hasn't a clue how tomorrow's second leg against PSG will pan out tactically – because experience has taught him Champions League ties can be so unpredictable.

Although he expects to win, the Chelsea boss admits mapping out anything beyond the right approach will be impossible.

“How the game will go, I don't know really,” he said. “I played 115-120 matches in the Champions League and I still can't say how the game is going to be.

“In Paris we expected them to have a lot of the ball and be dangerous, but we were dangerous to ourselves. It was not that Paris played very well.

“They say they come to attack and maybe they don't cross the halfway line. Maybe they say they defend but they find space and opportunities to score. You don't know.

“All I know is we have to score at least twice or we have no chance – all I know is the basic mathematics.”

Mourinho added: “We have no defensive plan or a plan for Thiago Motta. He can be free. We have to attack. We can't worry about him.

“We know he's a very good player but we don't have a plan.

“We need to win. Players have to show their quality, confidence, ambition - all the qualities that makes a player at this top level.”
