Jose Mourinho has added to speculation about the future of Fernando Torres by refusing to confirm he will remain a Chelsea player.
Torres didn't even make the bench for Chelsea's 2-0 home win over Leicester City on Saturday, and the Blues boss was cagey when pressed on the striker's future.
"I need three strikers," he said. "Sometimes I want to play with two strikers, someone will be injured or suspended so I need a third striker for the season.
“So our squad was made with balance by the hierarchy."
But pressed if Torres would be one of those three, he would only say: "I believe he will remain here."
Asked what he would have to do to get a game, Mourinho said: “To get in the side, he has to score more goals than the first (striker).
"He will play, he will score goals. He is a fantastic guy, a fantastic professional, so no problem."
