Less than an hour to go!

We have less than our hour to go till we know our life plan for the next year, sorry, I mean fixture list.

Everyone in the office is feeling like a kid on Christmas day, except instead of presents, we get to see where we will spend every weekend for the next nine odd months.

A look back at previous opening days for QPR

Our new QPR reporter, Phil, had a look back at last season’s opening day fixture - fancy a repeat of this one?

How do these fixtures get compiled?

We took a look yesterday at how the fixtures are compiled, including special requests from teams, derby games and alterations.

It’s quite an effort and well with your time while we wait for the fixtures.

Dean Smith couldn't care less who they face opening day

The Brentford boss is a character alright, and when our Brentford reporter Tom Moore asked him who wanted on the opening day he said he couldn’t care less!

That’s fair enough, everyone does play everyone else twice after all.

Here’s exactly what he said.

Who do Fulham fans want?

Let’s get this party started, shall we?

I asked the Fulham faithful through the week who they fancied playing on the first day on August 5 and boy did I get a load of answers.

QPR and Brentford were on there of course, but so were Reading, who it seems Fulham fans want to extract some revenge on this year.
