QPR and QPR in the Community Trust are pleased to announce the official launch of The QPR No. 10 Foundation.

The Foundation, which is a charitable (restricted) fund managed by QPR in the Community Trust, raises funds through generating public awareness and the hosting of special events.

All monies raised will further the Foundation's charitable objectives, to provide medical assistance, physical and pastoral care, and other requirements of former players, managers and club personnel.

The Stan Bowles benefit match, which will see QPR play host to Bournemouth in a pre-season friendly at Loftus Road on Saturday 29th July, will be the first event linked directly with the Foundation.

As it is a charity, any qualifying donations made by UK taxpayers to the QPR No. 10 Foundation will be eligible for Gift Aid, boosting the true value of the gift to the Foundation by 25%.

QPR CEO Lee Hoos explained: "I'm extremely pleased we've got this Foundation in place.

"What pleased me most is that it's been a real collective effort to get this over the line, not just from staff at the club, but also QPR supporters, who have lent their support over the last few months.

"It will look after Stan, it will look after people after Stan - it's a legacy that will keep on giving and giving and giving over the years to come."

QPR Club Ambassador Andy Sinton added: "This is a great vehicle for fans to help their former players. That's what football- and this football club in particular- is all about.

"The club and our supporters coming together on this shows what a great family club QPR is."
