Brentford 0 Hereford United 3

Shoring up Brentford's leaky defence will be boss Andy Scott's priority when he starts his summer spending.

The Bees conceded three goals for the second successive weeks against Hereford, and now have the fourth-worst defensive record in League Two, having leaked 69. Only Dagenham & Redbridge (70), Lincoln (73) and Accrington (83) have conceded more - and even bottom two Wrexham and Mansfield (68 each) have let in less.

And with centre-back and skipper Matt Heywood still stalling on a new contract, Scott has some major leaks to plug.

He said: "We have one of the worst defensive records in the league, but that's not just down to our back four.

"The whole team has to take responsibility. All three of Hereford's goals on Saturday came when we had possession of the ball.

"But the teams above us in the table are there because they react better than us when things go against them.

"You need the players out there who can finish the job, and we don't have the squad for that at the moment.

"We need more leadership out there."
