Brentford have been drawn to face Norwich City at Griffin Park in the Carabao Cup third round.

The Bees reached this stage of the competition after beating AFC Wimbledon 3-1 after extra time in round one with Romaine Sawyers, Ollie Watkins and Neal Maupay cancelling out Paul Robinson's opener.

They then beat west London rivals Queens Park Rangers 4-1 at Loftus Road on Tuesday night. An Ariel Borysiuk put through his own net before John Egan and Neal Maupay found the net to put the Bees 3-0 up. Darnell Furlong pulled a goal back but Josh Clarke's strike in the final 10 minutes sealed progression for Dean Smith's side.

It is the first time Brentford have reached this stage since they beat Everton on penalties in 2010 before taking eventual winners Birmingham all the way in round four.

The tie will take place in the week commencing September 18 with full details confirmed when Sky choose which games they will televise.
