Boss Tony Buss blasted his Hanworth Villa side's lack of discipline as were knocked off the top of Combined Counties Division One on Saturday.
The Villains were replaced at the top by Mole Valley SCR after going down 2-0 at home to fellow-challengers Worcester Park.
But Buss reckoned it would have been a different story if his squad had not been ravaged by suspensions as well as injuries.
He said: "There has been a bit of a lack of discipline this season, and that's something we are going to need to look at.
"But it was just one of those games where we could not do anything right. We played well in the first-half, and then the second it all went wrong."
Mark Scotchfield was the brightest of the Villa players, with the left-back making several bursts down the flanks, but disappointing with his final delivery.
Chad Hueston gave the visitors the lead on 55 minutes, and James Dunning secured their win with only two minutes left.
Tony Bliss, Daryl North and Lee Higgs threatened their goal for Villa without success.
