Fabio Capello has called up Jimmy Bullard to his England squad for the second time.

The Fulham midfielder is with the party preparing for Wednesday night's friendly international against Germany in Berlin.

Bullard earns his chance of a first cap because of the withdrawal through injury of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard. West Ham's Scott Parker has also been added to the group.

Bullard was called up by England for the first time at the start of the season for the World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Croatia, but did not get on the field.

It seemed his chances of remaining in Capello's thoughts had receded because of Gerrard's return from injury and he was overlooked for the second squad which assembled for the games against Kazakhstan and Belarus.

Now he finds himself back in the frame with an outside opportunity of earning that coveted first England appearance.
