Brentford midfield Nico Yennaris has confirmed he is ‘feeling better’ after being knocked out during the Bees’ victory at Preston.

Yennaris netted the opener in the five-goal thriller, but his afternoon was cut short immediately after Preston’s first equaliser.

Jordan Hugill collided with the 24-year-old seconds after the restart and Yennaris needed ten minutes of treatment before being stretchered off.

Although the collision appeared accidental, Dean Smith believed Hugill should have seen red for dipping his shoulder into Yennaris as they collided.

Smith confirmed that Yennaris was OK after the game, although it is not clear if he will miss Wednesday night’s highly-anticipated clash with Birmingham, and now the midfielder has thanked both sets of supporters for their messages of support on Twitter.
