Brentford take on Wolves on Saturday and Dean Smith has a selection headache after the win over QPR.

An impressive display from the likes of Josh Clarke, John Egan, Andreas Bjelland among others could have forced them into the head coach's starting XI on Saturday.

Rico Henry is also close to a return, although Smith was unclear whether he'd line up to face Wolves, with Spanish pair Jota and Sergi Canos available.

The Brentford boss said: “Rico is very close. Jota is back training with us as is Sergi Canos. The two Spanish boys bring a goal threat so it's a great boost for everyone.”

Josh McEachran has been ruled out of the meeting with the Black Country club but Smith is hopeful he can return to face Aston Villa after the international break.

He added: “Josh McEachran should be okay for Aston Villa. Saturday is too early but he'll be back training. The international break gives him the opportunity to prepare for Villa.”
