Queens Park Rangers lost the west London derby against Brentford on Saturday afternoon at Griffin Park.

Digital Football Writer Mark Ritson was covering Rangers for Get West London and has given his post-match player ratings, below.

Smithies - Looked to be in for a busy afternoon. Made some routine saves, but not helped by the marking for the opening goal. No chance with further goals and pulled off stunning save to deny a fourth. 6

Perch - Didn't get forward at all in the first half and nearly went into the book for a crude challenge on Canos. Didn't do much in the second half. 5

Onuoha - The side needed some organisation and he looked to give that, but he was in for a game against Brentford's quick forward line. Screwed a shot well wide after going on a marauding run. Little bit all over the place in the second half. 5

Lynch - Went up for a set-play and nearly gave Rangers the lead. Gave away a penalty which lead to Brentford doubling their lead but made slight amends minutes later by getting a goal back with a good header. 7

Bidwell - Frosty reception from the home fans, as expected. Got beaten so easily by Jota at one point in first half, but he did get forward well with a couple of good deliveries. No real effect in the second perod and was continually jeered by the home fans. 5

Goss - Anonymous first half performance. What did he do? Nothing - taken off at the break for Lua Lua. 3

Luongo - Needed to show his authority and was overrun in the middle at times. Struck the crossbar on the stroke of half-time. Went missing in the second half. 5

Freeman - Looked nippy and wanted the ball, but did nothing much with it. Rangers needed a spark somehow as the game went on but he failed to deliver it. 5

Mackie - A quiet first half, he would have been disappointed. Same in the second half and was taken off. Poor from his standards. 4

Washington - Took a while to get going, hardly touched the ball in the first half. Wasted a really good chance on the volley when he arrived in the box, and shot wide on the rebound after Bentley had saved from Smith. Thought he had scored in the second half and looked a lot more up for it, but then he was taken off. 6

Smith - At least he gave QPR some presence up top. One good chance in the first period with a header which was well saved. Was a big aerial threat in the second half and did all right. QPR's only real source of threat. 7

Substitutes

Lua Lua - Initially looked lively but faded dramtically along with the rest of his team-mates when they went 3-1 down. 5

Ngbakato - No effect really. Had a big chance at the death and should have done better with the header. 4

Sylla - Shot just wide of the far post at 3-1. If he had scored, who knows what the outcome would have been. 4
