Brentford are unlikely to recall Spanish wing wizard Jota from his loan at Eibar.

Despite being a key player for the club, the left-footed winger had issues in his native Spain that he needed to resolve.

The 25-year-old rejoined the club he enjoyed plenty of success at during the 2013/14 season in January on an 18-month loan. He also signed a new deal with Brentford.

Fans have been speculating as to whether Jota will be recalled during the summer and, although the issues have improved off the pitch, there is currently no move to bring the Spaniard back to Griffin Park.

Head coach Dean Smith confirmed: “I don't believe there are talks at the moment. It's not something we've discussed internally.

“The reason he went back has settled down an awful lot but I don't think it's in the remit he comes back just yet.”

After completing his loan switch back to Eibar, Jota penned an emotional see you later message to the club's supporters.

The letter started: “It's with great difficulty that I write this. A year and a half ago I arrived at Brentford and from that moment you made me feel like one of you.

"However, the day has arrived where we have to go our seperate ways and as you know I will leave to continue my footballing career in my native Spain.

"This isn't 'goodbye' but more of a 'see you later' or 'hasta luego' as we say in Spain because I have just extended my contract for an extra year."
