Andreas Bjelland, Yoann Barbet and Ryan Williams will be handed their Brentford debuts on Tuesday night against Oxford in the Capital One Cup.

Bees head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen will ring the changes for tonight's meeting and there could be as many as nine changes to the side that drew with Ipswich on the opening day.

He said: “There will be a lot of changes. Maybe six, seven, eight or nine. It's important to play a good game and there will be some young guys playing.

“It'll be good for Andreas Bjelland as he can play 90 minutes. He'll play as will Yoann Barbet. Some players haven't played 90 minutes. It's a game for others to get fit.

“It's a good chance to see how the players, especially the young players, can do.”

Ryan Williams, who joined from Morecambe, has intrigued Brentford supporters an Dijkhuizen is keen to see an improvement from his showing against Luton in pre-season.

He added: “Ryan will play on Tuesday. He played against Luton and was too much like an under-21 player. I hope he can improve on Tuesday against Oxford.”
