Brentford have tied down Nico Yennaris to a new long-term contract at Griffin Park.

The midfielder has signed a new four-year deal that will see him stay in TW8 until 2021 having arrived from Arsenal in January 2012.

The 24-year-old has made over 68 appearances for the Bees since joining and has gone from strength to strength in the side since being loaned out to Wycombe in 2014.

He played 49 times last season and was an ever present in the Brentford midfield under Dean Smith and has done enough to be rewarded with a new four-year deal at the club.

Yennaris scored six goals in the Championship last season, including the equaliser against Fulham where he capped off a stunning counter attack to put the ball in Marcus Bettinelli's top corner.
