Nico Yennaris has insisted that Brentford will be going all out to beat Blackburn on Sunday.

Rovers need to win, or better Nottingham Forest's result, in order to survive in the Championship, while the Bees need to win to secure a top 10 finish.

The Tricky Trees complained about Huddersfield making 10 changes for their defeat at Birmingham and the EFL have asked the Terriers for an explanation.

But Yennaris has insisted that Brentford will be going all out to continue their winning run at Griffin Park.

He said: “We would like to finish the season on a high. We've been on a good run of form recently.

“It'd be nice to end the season with a win at home for the fans. We know what Blackburn are playing for and it'll be a tough game. We'll prepare right for next week and go from there.”

Former Bees boss Mark Warburton and Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray criticised the Terriers and manager David Wagner.

Warburton said: "This is my worry. I have to question that. I do have to question that. I do not want to ask questions about a manager of an individual club.

"But there are a lot of things at stake and they have made 10 changes to their team. Smarter people than me will look at that situation, I am sure.

"I think you have to recognise what is at stake for people in the league. There are rules in place and the question is whether they have fielded their strongest team. That is the question."

Mowbray concurred: "Maybe he [Wagner] is not aware of the way the British game is played, and the integrity of all the leagues," he said.

"Everybody should be trying to win every game."

And Yennaris knows the Bees have to go all out to win, whatever team Dean Smith decides to select.

He added: “We've got to protect the integrity of the league. No matter what team steps out, we're trying to win the game.

“That's what we play football for. We'll go into the game in the right frame of mind.”
