Brentford are sweating on the fitness of James Tarkowski for tomorrow's trip to Charlton after he went off with a back injury in the 2-1 defeat to Watford.
The central defender was not training with the squad on Thursday morning and may not recover in time.
Manager Mark Warburton said: “He took a kick in the back. It's similar to a dead leg. We tried to medicate him on Tuesday and Tony Craig is more than capable to cover that.
“James was in the pool yesterday morning. He's a doubt for Saturday but these things can heal very quickly.”
Brentford will be missing Jake Bidwell, who is suspended for three games after his red card against the Hornets on Tuesday night .
Warburton, despite feeling it was a yellow card, is not going to appeal will decide whether Tony Craig, Alan McCormack or Stuart Dallas will fill in for the banned left back.
Alan Judge is close to making a return after being out of action since the FA Cup defeat to Brighton.
The Bees boss said: “He's very close and is a very talented player. His level of consistency has been outstanding.
“We lose him and then have a great run of three wins out of four. It shows the depth and quality of the squad.”
