Nico Yennaris stepped up his recovery from injury with a run out for the reserves against Swansea City last night.

The Brentford defender has been restricted to just one first-team appearance so far this season after picking up a thigh problem playing for the U21s.

However, the former Arsenal youngster is back in full training and hopes to fill the void left by the injury to right-back Alan McCormack.

Yennaris came through 90 minutes of the 4-1 defeat in South Wales as he builds up his fitness following a spell on the sidelines.

The 21-year-old found the net to cancel out Jonjo Shelvey's opener, but couldn't prevent the reverse against an experienced Swans side.

First-teamers James Tarkowski, Jack Bonham and Beitnho also featured.
