Romaine Sawyers has been happy with his role leading the line at Brentford, largely because the Bees have been winning games.

With Lasse Vibe and Philipp Hofmann out injured, the former Walsall man has been asked to play in an advanced role.

He performed admirably at Sheffield Wednesday and followed it up with a strong performance in the 4-2 win over Rotherham.

Sawyers said: “It's all right because we're winning games and it's all about the team. It's decent we've won back to back with me there but I want to do my bit for the team.

“It can be frustrating at times. I'm unfamiliar with it as it's new to me but the team is the most important thing.”

The Bees look set for a mid-table finish this season and, with little to play for, Sawyers just wants to see the west Londoners look to win as many games as possible.

He added: “We want as many points on the board as possible. As long as we perform well, we'll win games.”
