Henrik Dalsgaard is a doubt for Brentford ahead of Saturday evening's game with Leeds.

The Dane was forced off with a heel injury in the 2-0 win at Birmingham on Wednesday night and has been sent for a scan.

There was better news for Nico Yennaris as he came through the head injury assessments in order to rejoin the squad and could well take his place in the XI at Griffin Park.

Head coach Dean Smith said: “We've had to send Henrik off for a scan so we're not sure whether he's going to be right for Leeds yet.

“We're going to wait as late as possible because he's been very important to our plans so far but other than that we're fine.

“Nico Yennaris is back. He's ticked all the boxes so he's available for us. Everybody has come through two pretty bruising battles so they're fighting fit.”

Dalsgaard will be itching to prove his fitness as he will want to ensure he stands a chance to face Ireland with Denmark in their World Cup play-off game.

He added: “As well as us having a big game on Saturday against Leeds he's got a big game coming up against Ireland for Denmark. He's been a regular for them and we're hoping he's fit.”
