Brentford defender Yoann Barbet has fond memories of the last time the Bees faced QPR in April this year.

The Frenchman scored the opener as the Bees crushed the Hoops by three goals to one to complete a league double at Griffin Park in April. Jota grabbed a brace, either side of a Joel Lynch header, as Ian Holloway's side were outclassed.

However, Rangers have made a better start in the Championship this season than Brentford, who sit rock bottom on just one point.

Yoann Barbet opens the scoring

Defensive mistakes have been critical for the Bees and the Frenchman is keen to ensure he doesn't repeat the error made against Bristol City last week but would love to add to his goal tally at Loftus Road.

“I will try not to concede goals and if I can score again it'll be good,” Barbet said. “It's a good time to play a derby away. I think it can be the key for us to move forward.”

Barbet's goal against QPR in April was the second league goal of his Bees' career; the other coming against Charlton in the 2015/16 season.
