Neal Maupay believes he has settled into life at Brentford and is enjoying life in London.

Having spent the majority of his career in southern France the 21-year-old made the move to England for the first time in the summer.

He had an excellent start in front of goal, scoring three goals in August but struggled for form in September before ending his drought against Sunderland on Saturday.

The French striker is growing in confidence speaking English and paid tribute to his team-mates for helping him settle into life in west London.

In battle: Neal Maupay

“I'm very happy here. I'm trying to speak English now. I'm happy with my team-mates. They helped me a lot when I arrived here and I'm happy in my English life,” Maupay said.

“Yoann (Barbet) and Maxime (Colin) before he left helped me a lot as I don't speak English very well so the beginning was difficult for me. I'm good and enjoying my new life so I'm very happy.”

Maupay and Brentford will be back in action on Saturday when they make the trip to Preston North End.
