Sergi Canos lauded Brentford's 'massive' 3-1 win over Queens Park Rangers and knows how important it was for the supporters.

The Bees were by far the superior side and a Jota brace, either side of Joel Lynch's consolation as well as Yoann Barbet finding the net was enough to claim the victory.

And the beaming Spaniard knows how special that triumph was for the fans that packed into Griffin Park.

“It was quite something. It was massive. You can see from the fans it was really big,” he said.

Sergi Canos celebrates Jota's goal

Jota, once again, was the star of the show for Brentford and his second goal where his first touch left Jake Bidwell chasing shadows was followed by picking his spot before sliding the ball past Alex Smithies was a candidate for goal of the season.

Canos added: “It was unbelievable. I have no words for it. It was similar to mine at Reading! His is better.

“He is a special talent. He makes everyone better and playing alongside him makes you feel better and more confident.”
