Lasse Vibe called on Brentford to be more consistent when they return from the international break.

The Bees were very much a Jekyll and Hyde side during the last phase of the season performing well in the win at QPR and draw at Derby but fell short of their standards in the defeats to Newcastle, Barnsley and Fulham.

And Vibe knows they must seek to replicate their performance at QPR for the rest of the season in order to be challenging at the top end of the table.

He said: “We're looking for consistency. Our results could have been more consistent. We've got to look every day and keep getting results as consistency is what the league is about.”

Lasse Vibe against South Africa

Vibe has had a stop-start season with the Olympics, suspension and injury and he is using the break to build up his fitness.

He said: “I want to get a bit more training in and get more minutes on the pitch. This is probably the first international break I'm looking forward to.

“I'm not going away – just training and get my touch and fitness back. It's going to be weird having a weekend – it'll be nice having one of them.

“I feel good. This start to the season has been very bumpy. With the Olympics, I missed a couple of games. I came back and was suspended, got back in the team then got injured.”
