Alan Judge has thanked supporters for their get well messages after the Irishman broke his leg at Ipswich on Saturday.

The Brentford midfielder was the victim of a reckless challenge from Luke Hyam in the second minute of the Bees' 3-1 win.

And the club confirmed that the Irishman, who made his international debut last month, had broken his leg.

Support for the 27-year-old has poured in over Twitter and Judge was grateful for their support in a message on the popular social media channel.

He wrote: "First of all I would like to thank everyone for their messages of support from the Bees fans, players I have an have not played with and from fans of other clubs around the country.

"It has been very touching to me and my family. This is football and things like this happen; that's life.

"I will be back stronger and much better than I have been before. I will achieve my dream one way or the other. Nothing will hold me back."

Judge scored 14 goals for the Bees and set up a further 11 and was tipped to go to Euro 2016 until his injury.
